Membership Fees
Membership fees of £45 per annum for adults and £30 per annum for juniors (we have members of all ages) are paid by all members and these are essential to pay the ongoing costs of boat maintenance, club insurance and league insurance.
Membership
Membership of the Borth Rowing club means:
- Coming training as often as you can (or want to!)
- Attending monthly meetings (normally in the Friendship Inn)
- Helping with fund-raising events - or turning up!
- Taking a turn doing rotas, finding sponsors, or writing publicity etc - whatever you're good at!
- Promoting the club when you talk to friends and family
To find out when training is and let others know we use Borth Rowing Club Forum on www.forces-of-nature.co.uk
Funding and Fundraising
The club has had generous donations from Borth Carnival Committee following Carnival and received money from a sea sport fund held by Borth community council. Our kit was donated by M&M Sports. We received a grant of £5,757 from the Sports Council, which funded 80% of the costs of buying our own Celtic longboat, oars, trailer and lifejackets in early 2003. We also benefit from the generosity of our sponsors - including the Friendship Inn, L & R Construction and Translations Group - thank you all for your support.
